MARSHALL, Texas -- A new Texas benzene complaint names parts washers, Raffinate and Liquid Wrench as benzene-containing products that caused the development of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Schaefer, et al. v. Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., et al., No. 07-037 (E.D. Texas).
The Feb. 2 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas contends that the plaintiff was exposed to the named products for more than 40 years.
Plaintiffs John and Miriam Schaefer contend in their complaint that John was exposed to a variety of benzene-containing products, including a machine manufactured by Safety-Kleen known as a "parts washer" …
