RALEIGH, Miss. -- A judge that oversaw a $2 million verdict in a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma case has granted a defense motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict, opining that the testimony of Barry Levy, M.D. did not satisfy admissibility standards. Watts, et al. v. Radiator Specialty, et al., No. 2002-364 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Smith Cty.).

Judge Robert G. Evans of the Mississippi Circuit Court for Smith County entered a one-page memorandum indicating his decision on May 24 and an official order on June 9.
