Benzene Study Confirms Safety of Beverage Products

OTTAWA -- Health Canada has released results of a study examining the benzene amounts in beverages, concluding that the safety of the products has been confirmed.
The study found that benzene was not detected, or was found at the lowest concentration possible, in more than 80 percent of the 118 products that were tested.
The study did, however, find four products that had levels of benzene above the Canadian guideline for safe amounts of benzene in drinking water.
