LOS ANGELES -- A hearing on a demurrer and motion to strike portions of a California benzene lawsuit has been continued to June 23, according to the court. Marsolais, et al. v. Does 1 Through 1,000 inclusive, No. BC332581 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).

On May 30, plaintiffs asserting claims on behalf of John Marsolais claimed in two Los Angeles Superior Court oppositions that World Oil's attacks on the first amended complaint were 'meritless.'

The plaintiffs brought the wrongful death action on behalf of John Marsolais, who they claim died of leukemia. The plaintiffs contend that Marsolais' leukemia was …
