Benzene Plaintiffs Reach Settlements with All Defendants, Case Dismissed

PHILADELPHIA ---- A benzene lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice on March 13, after a court order showed that all the parties in the action had reached settlements with the plaintiffs. Farley v. W.M.Barr Company, Inc., et al., No. 05-5059 (E.D. Pa.).

The dismissal came after a Feb. 28 order in which the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed the benzene claims asserted against Radiator Specialty and USX Corp., with prejudice, saying that a settlement had been reached.
