Lone Remaining Defendant in Benzene Action Settles Claims for $90,000

LOS ANGELES -- The last defendant remaining in a benzene action has settled with the plaintiffs, according to recently filed court documents. Loyola, et al. v. Union Oil Co. of Calif., et al., No. BC280498 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The March 29 notice of settlement filed in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County indicate that the plaintiffs have agreed to dismiss their claims against the defendant in exchange for $90,000.
