LOS ANGELES -- A benzene defendant has filed a demurrer in a leukemia wrongful death action, claiming that the plaintiffs have failed to assert a causal connection between the defendant's alleged acts and the illness. Marsolais, et al. v. Does 1 Through 1000, inclusive, No. BC332581 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
In a Feb. 22 demurrer, defendant World Oil Marketing claims that the plaintiffs fail to state a cause of action against the company.
A case management and trial setting conference was scheduled for April 12.
