JACKSON, Miss. - Radiator Specialty has responded to plaintiffs' motion to remand by claiming that the specific claims asserted against the defendant are subject to federal standards. Fowler, et al. v. First Chemical, et al., No. 05-00016 (S.D. Miss.).

A hearing on several motions, including the motion to remand, was set for Sept. 1, according to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi docket.

A similar motion was filed in Bynum v. First Chemical, (No. 05-00022), another benzene case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
