DES MOINES, Iowa -- A plaintiff who alleged his work as a mechanic exposed him to the benzene-containing product Liquid Wrench has settled his claims with the remaining defendants, according to the court docket. Specht, et al. v. LIX Corp., et al., No. 04-cv-40143 (S.D. Iowa).
An April 4 order closing documents in the benzene case in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa indicated that the court had been notified by counsel that the case was settled.
Defendant U.S. Steel Corp. had designated expert witnesses in February prior to the settlement.
