CAMDEN, N.J. –– A benzene defendant has filed a motion to dismiss in New Jersey federal court, contending that the court lacks both specific and general jurisdiction over the defendant. Cacoilo, et al. v. The Sherwin-Williams Co., et al., No. 11-7039 (D. N.J.).
In a May 7 motion, Tesoro Corp. filed a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, arguing that it is only mentioned once in the complaint and has no contacts with New Jersey.
