Monsanto Co. Submits Reports in Roundup MDL Docket Contesting Jurisdiction in 16 Cases

SAN FRANCISCO –– Monsanto Co. has submitted a report to the national court overseeing the coordinated multidistrict litigation docket for Roundup personal injury claims contesting jurisdiction in 16 cases, explaining that the plaintiffs had not alleged any connection between their claims and California.

The June 1 report filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California noted that it was submitted pursuant to Pretrial Order No. 183.

Monsanto Co. explained that 16 cases, which were all filed by the same law firm, do not comply with the personal jurisdiction and/or venue requirements.
