SAN FRANCISCO –– Counsel for plaintiffs the first Roundup personal injury suit to proceed to trial in the national multidistrict litigation docket have indicated their intent to appeal two pretrial orders in which the MDL judge sanctioned trial team members for “acts of misconduct” during opening statements.

Separate notices of appeal were filed on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. In the notices, plaintiffs’ counsel Jennifer A. Moore and Aimee H. Wagstaff indicated their intent to fight sanction orders requiring them to pay $500 each for speaking about Phase 2 of the trial …
