New Complaint Says Exposure to Benzene in Jet Fuel Caused Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasm

TACOMA, Wash. –– A new benzene complaint has been filed in Washington federal court, with the plaintiffs contending that service in the U.S. Armed Forces caused one of the plaintiffs to develop Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasm with JAK2 V617F mutation.

In the June 7 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the plaintiffs contended that during his service, one of the plaintiffs worked in “close proximity to jet fuel containing benzene.”
