HarrisMartin: Jury Finds for Plaintiff at Conclusion of Phase I in Roundup Trial; Triggers Second Phase on Liability and Damages




SAN FRANCISCO –– A California jury has found for the plaintiffs at the end of Phase I in the bellwether Roundup personal injury trial in the national multidistrict litigation docket, triggering a second phase on liability and damages, HarrisMartin is reporting.

The U.S. District Court for Northern District of California jury reached its verdict just moments ago, finding that the plaintiffs had proven by a preponderance of the evidence that Edward Hardeman’s exposure to Roundup was a substantial factor in causing him to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Judge Vince Chhabria presided over the trial.
