JPML Places Petition for PFOA/PFOS Foam MDL on November Hearing Docket

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has scheduled a petition seeking the creation of a nationwide docket for PFOA and PFOS foam lawsuits on its November hearing session.

In the Oct. 11 order, the JPML stated that it will hear the petition –– which asks for the transfer and consolidation of all federal lawsuits alleging injury and environmental contamination caused by PFOS- and PFOA-containing foams –– at its Nov. 29 hearing.

The petition asks the panel to create a coordinated MDL docket in either Massachusetts or New York for the 75 “Aqueous Film-Forming Foams” cases …
