Roundup Personal Injury Trial Against Monsanto Underway in California

SAN FRANCISCO –– Opening arguments began this week in a Roundup personal injury suit against Monsanto, kicking off the first trial in which glyphosate exposure claims will be heard by a jury.

Opening arguments took place on July 9 in the California Superior Court for San Francisco County. Judge Suzanne R. Bolanos is presiding over the proceedings.

DeWayne Johnson filed his complaint in Jan. 2016, contending that during the course of his employment with the Benicia Unified School District, he applied Roundup and RangerPro, Monsanto glyphosate products, to school properties.
