LAKE CHARLES, La. –– A Louisiana federal court has entered a judgment of dismissal in a silica exposure action in the wake of a settlement between the plaintiffs and the last remaining defendant.

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana issued the 60-day judgment of dismissal on May 23, noting that the dismissal was without prejudice to the right to reopen the action “if settlement is not consummated.”
