BATON ROUGE, La. –– A Louisiana couple has filed a complaint in federal court contending that his work for more than 40 years in the chemical industry caused him to develop cancer.

In the Feb. 1 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the plaintiffs said that a number of defendants, including ExxonMobil, negligently exposed him to a number of toxic chemicals and failed to ensure proper ventilation of work areas.
