Benzene Defendant Moves to Transfer Venue from Pa. Federal Court to Southern District of New York

PHILADELPHIA –– CRC Industries Inc. has moved to transfer a benzene case from a Pennsylvania federal court to the Southern District of New York, arguing that the underlying alleged exposure occurred in, and around, New York City.

In the Dec. 9 motion to transfer venue filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, CRC said that the plaintiff does not have any ties to Pennsylvania and does not allege that he suffered any injuries in the state.
