Arkansas Court Enters Default Judgment Against Pulmosan for $1.6 Million in Silica Action

EL DORADO, Ark. –– An Arkansas federal court has entered a $1.6 million default judgment against Pulmosan Safety Equipment Corp., finding in part that the plaintiffs were entitled to mental anguish damages for a decedent’s silica-related injuries.
In the Aug. 3 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas noted that the judgment should be reduced by the consideration of a settlement agreement reached with Pulmosan’s co-defendant.
