NEW ORLEANS –– Plaintiffs with benzene-related claims pending in Louisiana federal court have reached a resolution with The Dow Chemical Co., according to recent documents.
In an order entered Aug. 9, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana dismissed all of the plaintiffs’ claims against the Dow Chemical Co. with prejudice.
The plaintiffs allege in the complaint that Wilson Joseph Leonard Jr. was exposed to benzene-containing products while working as a pipefitter from 1967 to 1981 at Shell Chemical, Gulf Oil, and Dow Chemical facilities.
