COLUMBUS, Ohio –– An Ohio jury has awarded a plaintiff $5.1 million at the conclusion of the second bellwether C-8 water contamination case to proceed to trial, finding that defendant E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. acted with malice and triggering a second phase of the trial to determine punitive damages.
The second phase will begin tomorrow, July 7, in the courtroom of MDL Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin.
