Parties in California Benzene Case Brought by Former Printer Begin Jury Selection




LOS ANGELES –– The parties in a benzene case brought by a former printer have started jury selection and are expected to call the first witness early next week, sources told HarrisMartin.

The first expert witness is expected to be plaintiffs’ expert Dr. Robert Harrison, whose testimony was found to be admissible by the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County last month, according to the sources.

William Lawrence Lopez asserted the claims, contending that his work as a printer for more than 40 years exposed him to inks and pressroom chemicals, including those that contained benzene.
