Latest Roundup Lawsuit Says Use of Herbicide During Home Gardening Caused NHL

SAN FRANCISCO –– Plaintiffs in a newly filed lawsuit concerning Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide have alleged in their complaint that use of the product during home gardening caused one of the plaintiffs to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, according to recent court filings.

The plaintiffs filed their suit on April 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accusing Monsanto of “repeatedly” proclaiming that Roundup is safe to humans.

Recent studies prove otherwise, the plaintiffs argued, pointing to a 2015 International Agency for Research on Cancer study that found the active ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate, caused cancer.
