Benzene Plaintiff Reaches Settlement Agreement with Radiator Specialty, U.S. Steel Corp., Safety-Kleen

BOSTON –– A benzene plaintiff and three defendants involved in a federal lawsuit have reached settlement agreements, according to a report issued in wake of a reference for alternative dispute resolution.

According to the March 22 report filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the case was settled after referral to the ADR program, but prior to ADR.

The parties anticipate that the settlement will be finalized prior to September 2016, given that the plaintiffs still need to formally substitute the decedent’s wife in as the plaintiff, and to complete all other related paperwork.
