WASHINGTON, D.C. –– A Washington, D.C., trial court has scheduled an April 2017 trial in a talc-based powder ovarian cancer lawsuit that joins a growing list of cases set to be tried over the next 12 months.
According to a notice issued Feb. 16 by the District of Columbia Superior Court, the claims of the plaintiff are on track to be tried April 17.
In her complaint, filed Dec. 31, 2014, Lori Oules said that her ovarian cancer was “directly and proximately” caused by her regular use of talcum powder-containing products, such as Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower.
