Florida Resident Files Lawsuit Against United Technologies, Says Radiation Exposure Caused Brain Tumor

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –– A 24-year old Florida resident has filed a lawsuit against United Technologies Corp., contending that activities at the defendant’s nearby facility released harmful contaminants into the surrounding area, and water, causing the plaintiff to develop a fatal brain tumor.

In the March 10 complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the plaintiff said that he is one of several residents in a nearby community to develop cancer and that such a high incidence rate of tumors is not sporadic or isolated.
