Pa. Jury Awards $824,000 at Conclusion of Benzene Trial Against U.S. Steel

PHILADELPHIA –– A Pennsylvania jury has awarded $824,000 at the conclusion of a trial in a case brought by a benzene plaintiff, finding lone remaining defendant U.S. Steel had fraudulently concealed material information regarding its benzene.
The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County jury reached the verdict on Feb. 24. Judge Leon W. Tucker presided over the trial.
