MDL Court Rejects Post-Trial Motions in C-8 Exposure Case, Allows $1.6 Million Verdict to Stand

CLEVELAND –– The federal court overseeing the coordinated docket for claims related to alleged C-8 exposure has rejected DuPont’s post-trial motions, allowing a $1.6 million verdict to stand and opining that the defendant’s assessments of a prior settlement agreement were “inaccurate.”
In the 125-page opinion issued Feb. 17, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio wrote that it merely applied the terms of the prior settlement agreement the way that the parties had previously agreed to do so.
