Remaining Parties in Paint-Related Benzene Case Reach Settlement Agreement

ST. LOUIS –– Plaintiffs asserting paint-related benzene claims and Rohm and Haas Co. have reached a settlement agreement and the case has been dismissed with prejudice, according to a recent order.
According to the Jan. 14 order filed by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the parties had filed a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice one day prior.
Michelle Ideker filed the underlying suit, contending that she was exposed to benzene-containing products while working in Harley-Davidson’s paint and coating department for eight years. Ideker says she worked with paint products manufactured by PPG Industries.
