Berryman Products Opposes Motion Seeking to Compel Responses; Says Plaintiff Allowed for Extension

BOSTON –– Berryman Products Inc. has filed an opposition brief in a benzene case, maintaining that the counsel for the plaintiffs had agreed to an extension with regard to requests for admission and for production of documents.

In the Dec. 31 opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Berryman said that its objections and responses were valid and complied with Rule 36(a)(4).

Plaintiff Ralph Girardi asserted the claims, contending that his work as an auto mechanic for approximately 40 years required him to work with benzene-containing products, including brake cleaners, carburetor cleaners, parts cleaners, …
