8th Circuit Hears Oral Arguments in Benzene-Related Insurance Dispute

ST. LOUIS –– The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit heard oral arguments in a benzene-related insurance dispute concerning equitable contribution, according to the court’s online docket.
The 8th Circuit heard arguments on Oct. 19, the docket entry said. Judges William Jay Riley, Lavenski R. Smith and Bobby E. Shepherd presided over the hearing.
The underlying dispute arose out of an order issued by Judge John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, in which he ordered National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, P.A. to pay more than $80,000 in equitable contribution …
