DuPont Files Post-Trial Motion Challenging $1.6 Million Verdict in C-8 Case

CLEVELAND –– DuPont has filed a post-trial motion in the wake of a $1.6 million verdict entered at the conclusion of the first C-8 personal injury MDL case to proceed to trial, challenging the verdict on a number of issues, including that the court erred when it excluded the principal opinion of the defendant’s specific causation expert.

In an Oct. 27 motion for judgment as a matter of law filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, DuPont maintained its assertion that the court erroneously interpreted the Leach class action settlement agreement.
