ST. LOUIS –– An insurer involved in a dispute over coverage for underlying benzene claims has filed its brief in an appeal of the matter, maintaining that the federal court correctly found that a co-insurer was required to defend the benzene defendant.

In its brief, filed June 26 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, appellee Continental Casualty Co. maintained that the federal court’s decision was correct since National Union was required to defend Valspar under the issued policies.
