SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico –– Plaintiffs with benzene claims pending in a Puerto Rican federal court have reached a confidential settlement agreement with one of the two remaining defendants Makita U.S.A. Inc., sources confirmed to HarrisMartin.
The plaintiffs moved the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico to voluntarily dismiss the claims against the defendant with prejudice.
Sources told HarrisMartin that a Nov. trial is scheduled to proceed against the lone remaining defendant Safety-Kleen.
