Louisiana Court Says Testimony of Plaintiff’s Expert Dr. Robert Harrison is Inadmissible

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has thrown out the testimony of plaintiffs’ expert Dr. Robert Harrison, opining that the expert made no attempt in his testimony to establish why benzene-specific studies can reliably support the conclusion that gasoline can cause AML.
In the June 9 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana opined that the “simple explanation that gasoline contains benzene, and benzene is a known carcinogen cannot be the justification for such extrapolation.”
