Univar Challenges Expert Testimony of Harrison, Miller in Pending Benzene Case

NEW ORLEANS –– Univar U.S.A. Inc. has moved to exclude two plaintiffs’ experts in a benzene case, saying that neither of the experts expresses opinions that are admissible.
In two separate motions filed May 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Univar challenged the testimony of plaintiff experts Robert J. Harrison and Richard L. Miller.
The plaintiffs asserted the claims on behalf of Walter Sarrat, whose employment by Gencote Inc. as a polyurethane applicator required him to spray barges, sugar silos and other metal objects in an effort to prevent corrosion. Plaintiffs assert that toluene …
