Florida Benzene Case Closed After Remaining Parties Reach Settlement Agreement

FT. MYERS, Fla. –– A Florida benzene case has been closed after the last remaining defendant reached a settlement agreement with the plaintiffs, according to a recent order.

The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida directed the clerk to enter judgment accordingly and terminate all pending motions and deadlines, including a recently scheduled May trial date.

The April 16 order was entered the same day that the plaintiffs and W.M. Barr filed a joint stipulation to dismiss the claims with prejudice. Earlier, the case had been put on the May 4 trial calendar.
