Middle District of Louisiana Issues Scheduling Order in Recently Transferred Case

BATON ROUGE, La. –– The Louisiana federal court overseeing a recently transferred benzene case has issued a scheduling order, setting trial in the matter for Nov. 2016.

In the April 24 order, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana additionally asked the parties to complete fact discovery by Nov. 6, 2015, and submit expert reports by Dec. 4, 2015.

Plaintiffs Carl and Janifer Norred asserted the claims, contending that Carl Norred was exposed to benzene while using Liquid Wrench during the course of his employment as a millwright at various facilities.
