La. Appellate Court Affirms Judgment for Plaintiffs in Chemical Release Case

GRETNA, La. –– A Louisiana appellate court has affirmed a finding of liability and awards of damages to plaintiffs who brought claims against Evans Harvey Corp. for injuries they allegedly sustained as a result of a chemical release.

In the April 15 opinion, the Louisiana 5th Circuit Court of Appeal found that the plaintiffs also had submitted sufficient evidence to establish causation in the matter.

The underlying claims were asserted by 10 plaintiffs against Evans Harvey Corp. In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs alleged that Evans Harvey was liable for a chemical gas release.
