NEW ORLEANS –– Several defendants named in a benzene lawsuit have contested the claims, in part seeking a motion for a more definite statement on grounds that the complaint lumps all the defendants together.
In an opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, however, the plaintiffs maintained that they have put the defendants on notice of the claims and should not be held to a heightened pleading standard.
