NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has ordered the transfer of a benzene case to a neighboring district, opining that “the plaintiff’s choice of venue is not afforded decisive weight in a venue transfer analysis.”
In the Feb. 23 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana found that the plaintiff’s only connection to the Eastern District was the alleged use of Liquid Wrench for approximately nine months.
