LOS ANGELES –– A Los Angeles trial court judge has dismissed a benzene exposure suit shortly after calling it for trial, concluding that the plaintiffs’ causation expert’s testimony was inadmissible, sources told HarrisMartin.
Judge Rolf Treu of the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County granted CRC Industries Inc.’s in limine motion challenging the testimony of C. Ola Landgren, M.D., Ph.D. –– the chief of Myeloma Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center –– on Jan. 26 just before jury selection in the trial was slated to begin.
