DETROIT –– Safety-Kleen Systems has filed a brief supporting its motion for summary judgment in a benzene exposure case, saying that the plaintiff cannot prove causation, an “essential element to all her causes of action.”
In the Dec. 16 brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the defendant maintained its position that the plaintiffs’ claims fail in light of the dismissal of expert testimony.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Howard G. Hendrian, who was allegedly exposed to benzene-containing products while employed at Ford Motor Co. During the course of his employment, …
