Louisiana Federal Court Continues Benzene Trial to July; Schedules Daubert Hearings for Feb.

NEW ORLEANS –– The Louisiana federal court overseeing a benzene case has postponed trial in the matter, now saying that jury selection in the acute myeloid leukemia case will begin July 6.

In the Jan. 8 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana also scheduled Daubert hearings for Feb. 10-11. The court will then address motions attacking the admissibility of testimony from Drs. Peter Infante, Ethan Natelson and David Pyatt.

The July trial is expected to last four days, the court said. In December, the court had rejected efforts to continue the Feb. trial date. For …
