2 More Benzene Lawsuits Filed Alleging Exposure at Louisiana Shell Facilities

NEW ORLEANS –– Two more benzene lawsuits have been filed in Louisiana federal court recently, with each plaintiff alleging that they were exposed to benzene-containing products while working at Shell facilities across the state.
The complaints were filed Jan. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, less than one week after three other complaints asserting similar benzene-related allegations were filed.
In one of the recent complaints, Raymond and Theresa Gaubert argued that Raymond Gaubert’s employment as a contract welder/pipefitter exposed him to benzene-containing products.
