WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A stipulation of dismissal is expected to be filed by March 24 in a North Carolina benzene case, according to a recent docket entry in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. Stromberg, et al. v. Ashland Inc., et al., No. 07-332 (M.D. N.C.).

An attorney involved in the case reported the settlement to the court on Feb. 24, shortly after the parties exchanged briefing on the issue of whether to strike affidavits filed by defense experts.
