NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana federal judge has dismissed without prejudice first- and third-party claims against certain defendants in a benzene workplace exposure action pursuant to counsel’s notification that they had been settled.
On Oct. 1, Judge Jane T. Milazzo of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana dismissed claims against Vector Electric & Controls Inc., Gray Insurance Co., CF Industries Inc. and Formosa Plastics Corp.
Ashly Boudreaux filed the action on behalf of Kevin Boudreaux, who was allegedly exposed to benzene-containing products while working as an instrument technician and maintenance worker at a variety of construction …
