Oregon Benzene Plaintiffs File Motion to Compel Discovery, Cite ‘Haphazard’ Defense Responses

PORTLAND, Ore. –– Plaintiffs in an Oregon benzene case have moved to compel discovery responses from defendant Houghton International Inc., saying the defendant stalled on production of documents and, when it did serve its production, it was “haphazard.”

In the Aug. 13 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the plaintiffs contend that their attempts to advance the litigation “have been met by unnecessary delay and meritless objections” since the inception of the suit.
