Philadelphia Court Denies Sunoco’s Efforts to Obtain Summary Judgment in Benzene Case

PHILADELPHIA –– A Philadelphia trial court has denied efforts by Sunoco to obtain summary judgment in a benzene case, rejecting the defendant’s position that the plaintiffs had failed to identify Sunoco’s benzene-containing solvents as those that were allegedly incorporated into products used by the plaintiff.

In a one-page order issued July 28, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County denied the motion without comment.
